Brigthon Marathon
On the 14th April Brighton hosted its fourth annual marathon with 9,315 runners competing in the 26.4 mile race.
Working for the main event contractor Piccadilly Live, Mediatec supplied 10 sqm, 18 sqm and 40 sqm screens to cover the Grand Avenue, the Beach Village and the Marathon Finish and the screens were used to support the live coverage of the event throughout the day.
The marathon route began at Preston Park and passed some of the city’s most famous landmarks including Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion, through the towns of Ovingdean and Shoreham before leading back again along the city’s sea front and finishing on the beach itself!
